It's Gonna Get Ugly Like Obob in the Morning Sun

First segment: As Israel prepares a self defensive land insertion into Gaza, Alan Dershowitz writes an opine providing moral and legal evidence for Israeli actions. His conclusion is solid:
Until the world recognises that Hamas is committing three war crimes - targeting Israeli civilians, using Palestinian civilians as human shields, and seeking the destruction of a member-state of the UN - and that Israel is acting in self-defence and out of military necessity, the conflict will continue.

Is it the subtle anti-Semitic beliefs held by many countries or a fear of standing up to tyranny? What else must Israel do to appease those who desire her ultimate demise? These questions must be answered by the UN Security Council. They must grow a pair and allow Israel to finish the job. We would demand the same unequivocally.
Next segment: A great piece describing the frustrations of millions of humanitarians in the NY Post. It sums up the feelings of many Americans and Israelis:

In fact, the president-elect may not know himself. He's a babe in the woods, and the woods are full of wolves. Fighting political rivals doesn't prepare you for fighting terrorist fanatics.

...

As for our president-elect, his all-too-coy insistence that "we have only one president at a time" has been selective from the start. Glad to pontificate on stimulus packages and union benefits, Obama has used the one-president mantra to avoid taking stands on difficult issues that bedevil or bewilder him.

Our president-elect needed to make a clear, prompt statement in support of Israel. He didn't. If I were an Israeli leader, I'd be worried, too.

Obama's notorious for avoiding firm stands that might alienate any important constituency. But you can't have it both ways in the Middle East. He needs to stand up in support of Israel. Now.

And finally, when the cowardly, treacherous and hideous beast that is ex-rep. mckinney was on a boat, she met the Israeli Navy. The Israeli craft justifiably rammed the boat carrying the dirty cohort of evil to prevent it from providing comfort to those who wish to recreate the Holocaust morals be damned.
Wouldn't you have loved for her to lay a hand on one of these lovelies who may not have shown the restraint that handcuffed a Capitol Police Officer?

more of the same

As the last bastion against all things status quo in the Beltway, El-Presidente Electo Obama, fights the power and the establishment. As he brings his audacity of hope, change and to fight things that go bump in the night, he shows his true self.
1st - VP Biden, the lifer who redefines blowhard
2nd - Sec of State, Queen Hillary, never heard of her, from Hitch
Both President and Sen. Clinton, while in office, made it obvious to foreign powers that they and their relatives were wide open to suggestions from lobbyists and middlemen.

Just to give the most salient examples from the Clinton fundraising scandals of the late 1990s: The House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight published a list of witnesses called before it who had either "fled or pled"—in other words, who had left the country to avoid testifying or invoked the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination. Some Democratic members of the committee said that this was unfair to, say, the Buddhist nuns who raised the unlawful California temple dough for then-Vice President Al Gore, but however fair you want to be, the number of those who found it highly inconvenient to testify fluctuates between 94 and 120. If you recall the names John Huang, James Riady, Johnny Chung, Charlie Trie, and others, you will remember the pattern of acquired amnesia syndrome and stubborn reluctance to testify, followed by sudden willingness on the part of the Democratic National Committee to return quite large sums of money from foreign sources.

3rd - AG Holder, nothing to see here, from Cohen
Soon after Bill Clinton pardoned Marc Rich, the former president and I had a brief telephone conversation. I had been downright heated about the pardon, a lot angrier than I had ever been about Monica Lewinsky. Clinton implied that I had things historically backward. Long after the Rich pardon had been forgotten, he said, the Lewinsky scandal would remain a vivid memory. That day is yet to come. The Rich pardon is back.

The vehicle for this lingering echo from the year 2001 is the choice of Eric Holder as Barack Obama's attorney general. Holder was Clinton's deputy attorney general and he played a significant role in the pardon. When asked by the White House what he thought about a pardon for Rich, Holder replied, "Neutral, leaning towards favorable." These four words have stalked him ever since.

4th UN Ambassador Rice, not the read deal known as Condi. She was a "protege" of Albright, more Clinton. And we know how effective Albright was. From my original blog,

The Return of al Andalus

One of the geographical locations desired for bin laden and al queda is Andalus. Or the Iberian Pennisula.

This fact bounced through my feeble mind as I read about the terror plot to attack French, Portuguese, Spanish and German metro systems. By the grace of Allah, Buddha and the player to be named later, this was discovered and stopped.

The modern day Spain/Portugal/Andorra was under Islamic control from 711 to 1492. This is another element of radical Islamic control of Europe. This would provide a restored sense of pride and strategic control of the Straight of Gibraltar

Some background:

Al Andalus
(or Al-Andalus; AlAndalus, pronounced 'al-an-da-loose') This is the name given to Spain by the Moors who conquered most of the Iberian Peninsula, beginning in 711 AD and lasting until 1492. The origins of the name remain unclear to this day. The most common interpretation is that it derives in some way from the Vandals who controlled Iberia before the arrival of the Moors or from their name for the lands they inhabited. The Moors' Al-Andalus encompassed all of the Iberian Peninsula except for the extreme north-west. As their territory shrank over the centuries, the name was retained and the last area of Moorish occupation became AndalucĂa. We offer for your enjoyment the following legend: According to Moslem legend, when Allah was creating the earth and dealing out good and bad, each place was given five wishes. The land of Al-Andalus asked for a clear sky, a beautiful sea full of fishes, ripe fruit and fair women. All these were granted, but a fifth wish ? for good government ? was not granted because to have done so would have created heaven on earth.

The cowardly attacks on Madrid on 3/10 were two-fold, get Spain out of Iraq and re-establish Al Andalus. The first was successful as the Spaniards ran from Iraq. Alas, the Spanish failed to understand al-queada is a patient foe who is willing to gut it out. As for the second, I hope the Spanish have the tenacity as they have with the Basque nationals to withstand their attacks.
Some more facts from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs:

  • Large parts of the Iberian Peninsula were under Islamic rule from 711 until 1492, with the final eviction of the Moors from what they called al-Andalus, and the memory of Islamic rule in Spain has become increasingly part of the discourse in radical Islam.

  • Osama bin Laden has written: "We request of Allah...that the [Islamic] nation should regain its honor and prestige, should raise again the unique flag of Allah on all stolen Islamic land, from Palestine to Andalus." Bin Laden's mentor, Abdullah Azzam, established that the Islamic obligation to wage jihad in order to recover lost Islamic territories applies to Andalusia.

  • Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, the spiritual head of the Muslim Brotherhood, has written that while Islam was twice evicted from Europe - from al-Andalus and from Greece - it is now in the process of returning.

  • A children's magazine published by Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, called on Palestinian children to restore the city of Seville to Islamic rule as well as the rest of what was once Islamic Spain.

A Little Help From The Land of Obob

This one goes out to all the parents/grandparents/aunts or uncles and other cast of characters who gets to help open toys post-chaos. I do not know the technical name of these wire cutters (pictured below). All I know, they work as well as MOAB on a bunker. A thousand apologies for forgetting to post this earlier. We started opening gifts today, my side of the family.

But to the heartless bastard who came up with these wires that bind the toys to cardboard like the chains that bound Prometheus, I will find you. I will extract my revenge. The wimps in Congress thought waterboarding was horrific and inhumane, no comparison. You get me terrorist and a multi-wired toy to open with an impatient 2, 4 & 7 year old. They'll tell me not only where bin laden is, but if they buy into that 72 virgin crap.

    Quickies

I saw this a couple weeks ago and it beautifully mocks Ahmajindad and it mocks his country's "religion of peace" version of homosexual relations:

And the Bears beat the communist/socialist/so evil Hillary goes to them for campaign advice packers.
Did I mention the packer nation is godless? Not in an atheist or agnostic way. But in a pagan worshipping manner that would sacrifice their child like Agamemnon did to get a gust of wind for a winning field goal.

    See, it was a misunderstanding

Don't be afraid Linus. Although your safety blanket couldn't save you from the sensitive open-minded nutjobs that influence Islam.

There was a ho-um piece on the WashPost and other cowardly papers that refused to show the Opus cartoon involving Islam and its treatment of women. In searching for replies from Muslims, the writer got this:

Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights and advocacy group, wasn't offended. " 'Opus' poked fun at the strip's characters, not Muslims or Islam. I see hundreds worse on the Internet every day," he said.

    ehh

Akbar Ahmed, chair of Islamic studies at American University, also wasn't offended. He said there is a strong Muslim tradition of satire and self-deprecation. "I think there is a danger of us becoming so politically correct that we end up by blunting the critics' bent and the satirists' wit. Muslims need to be sensitive to the fact that in Western culture there is a healthy tradition of not taking things too seriously."

excuse me? What part of the threats against all who mock Mohammad the Prophet did we not get? Or anyone who exposes the mistreatment of women in their faith? Gunman kills Dutch film director

Van Gogh directed TV series and wrote newspaper columns
Dutch film maker Theo van Gogh, who made a controversial film about Islamic culture, has been stabbed and shot dead in Amsterdam, Dutch police say.
Police arrested a man in a nearby park after an exchange of gunfire. The man, aged 26, had joint Dutch and Moroccan nationality, they said.
Van Gogh, 47, had received death threats after his film Submission was shown on Dutch TV.
It portrayed violence against women in Islamic societies.

Please excuse the picture of his dead body, but this is their reply to satire and critique from warm and fuzzy hardliners.
Or how about Denmark and the courage it had to show the cartoons. Of course these cartoons were not shown in the States. The brave editors of our papers didn't have the tin foil testicles to show them. Obob's personal favorite:

    Missed That One

Apparently, SOTH Pelosi has been a infectous mix of a foriegn policy guru and scarf-stylish babe in helping GW with his Presidential duties. C'mon, she is couple heart beats from the Oval Office and she needs to practice meeting with dictators. Plus the sanctimonious charmer has our best interests while breaking the law, pissing off Israel, looking like a dingbat and mostly being herself.
She either met with Assad, who is behind the murder of a certain Lebanese critic that led to beautiful Ceder Spring, to make GW look bad (classy and respectful) or to create her won agenda (illegal). There have been some good points on her behalf ... not really. She screwed the pooch in a bad way. Here is some things she should consider
    from Fred Barnes:
Pelosi's visit to Damascus for talks with Syrian president Bashir Assad showed her ill-equipped to deal with the longstanding conflict between Israel and neighboring Arab states in the Middle East. She made three serious mistakes.
The complicated nature of diplomacy in the Middle East eluded her. She was in
way over her head. She didn't understand what she was dealing with. This was her first big mistake.
Her second mistake was believing the conventional wisdom in Washington that headway could be made with the Syrians if only we'd talk to them.
Pelosi's third (and biggest) mistake was thinking she could broker a peace between Israel and Syria. This was naive in the extreme.

    Robert Turner of WSJ
The Logan Act makes it a felony and provides for a prison sentence of up to three years for any American, "without authority of the United States," to communicate with a foreign government in an effort to influence that government's behavior on any "disputes or controversies with the United States." Some background on this statute helps to understand why Ms. Pelosi may be in serious trouble.

And if USA Today questions you
But Wolf can travel to Syria virtually undetected. Pelosi has an international profile. That guarantees her heavy media coverage but multiplies the price of a misstep, which she quickly made when she created confusion about how eager Israel is to resume peace talks with Syria. Israel immediately clarified her remarks.

Wolf is a Representative who claims to be Republican. Hopefully this other criminal is made fully aware of the Logan Act as he is prosecuted as well as Pelosi. The ethical congress we were promised was a sham the moment Rep. "Gladbag" Jefferson was offered a post.

Another "W" for the guys not into sucide bombing

By a miracle of Allah himself, a French court found the courage to find an editor not guilty in printing one of the controversial Big Mo cartoons. Personally, I am defiantly going to church this weekend, because the Apocalypse will be upon us. The French actually showed some guts.

A French court has ruled in favour of weekly Charlie Hebdo, rejecting accusations by Islamic groups who said it incited hatred against Muslims.

The cartoons were covered by freedom of expression laws and were not an attack on Islam, but fundamentalists, it said.

I mean ths really throws me off. We're talking about the French here. They surrender to girl scout troops on sugar binges.
Every once in awhile I am wrong, shocking, and I am happy with this one. Good form, Pierre.

    Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
