Purdue University students who want the school to stop using what they call “sweatshop” labor to produce Boilermaker apparel have begun a hunger strike.
“People are dug-in and ready to continue for as long as this takes,” said Nathan Jun, 27, a philosophy graduate student who said he has not eaten since Nov. 20.
About a dozen students are involved, including chemistry graduate student Bill Slavin, 24, who said he has not eaten solid food since Nov. 17.
Are they donating the food or money mom and dad send them to local food shelters? Or better yet, did they forget to pay their dining service fee? I like this quote
University spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg said different students seem to be taking part in the protest and that many went home for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Campus radicals are tough breed in Purdue. I hope my brother does go eat a burger in front of them. Good idea forbin.

Heheheheee. Tell him to eat an entire sack of White Castles in front of those losers.
White Castles..I love them.
It's not much of a hunger strike if you can't even miss Thanksgiving dinner.
Boilermaker apparel? It's not like it's a hot seller anyways.
thank you for bringing more attention to the issue, please post more about it, thanks.
