It May Be Something, It May Be Nothing

McCain is currently viewed favorably by 55% of the nation’s voters, Obama by 51%. That is the lowest rating for Obama since he wrapped up the nomination. Obama is viewed favorably by 83% of Democrats, 22% of Republicans, and 47% of unaffiliated voters. For McCain, the numbers are 87% favorable among Republicans, 26% among Democrats, and 61% among unaffiliated voters.

from Rasmussan
61% of unaffiliated. You wanted to know why the GOP wanted McCain? The new holy grail of getting elected, the undecided. And McCain is tied at 44 with the young wunderkin.

I'll get back to this

and that racist Hilton smear ...

Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters have seen or heard news coverage of McCain’s ad including Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Just 22% believe the ad was racist. But, most say Obama’s comment about not looking like other Presidents on the dollar bill was racist.

And like Obama, it proves anyone can entertain the masses when they read a script.

Obamamania does seem to be dwindling.

Maybe some people are starting to sober up a bit?

This all started with Obama's little spin around Europe, I think the American voters got a look at him and did not like what they saw. The arrogance, the disrespect for the troops when he couldn't capitalize off of them, the idea that he may put European interests ahead of the US.

what I love is the display of their lack of humor. Some friendly and legit jabs are given, and they cry foul. Love it

Have the Obama tran stalled at the last station?
Or is Hillary ready to step in and save the party?

PARIS FOR PRESIDENT!!!

If the 2008 race is going to be a joke (and for conservatives it is), we might as well go all the way. Of course, if she were elected, the price of tube socks and Lysol would spike.

Real Clear Politics site has reported this:

Latest National Polls

* CBS News: Obama 45, McCain 39
* Time: Obama 46, McCain 41
* Tracking Polls: Gallup: Obama +2 | Rasmussen: Obama +1

It may be something; it may be nothing...

It may also be something if you'd look at the RCP average:

RCP Average, 07/23 - 08/06
Obama - 46.9 McCain - 43.3

That's a 3.6 point lead for Obama.

And USA Today/Gallup has McCain up by 4. But CNN has Obama up by 7

No matter, though. The real numbers don't come until November.

Then we're screwed either way. It's only a matter of whether lube is involved.

Kissinger Doing the Weather

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
