Syria Meddling Again

Nov. 21, 2006: Lebanese security forces surrounded the bullet-riddled car of Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel, who was assassinated in a spate of attacks targeting anti-Syrian politicians.

Anti-Syrian Minister Is Assassinated in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Nov. 21 — Pierre Gemayel, a Lebanese cabinet minister and strong opponent of Syrian influence in Lebanon, was gunned down in his car here on Tuesday afternoon, jolting a nation already paralyzed by political conflict that threatens to topple the government.
The assassination of Mr. Gemayel, the 34-year-old scion of one of the nation’s most prominent Maronite Christian families, quickly inflamed tensions between the anti-Syrian coalition trying to hold its government together and the Syrian-allied opposition, led by Hezbollah, the Iranian-supported group that has threatened street protests if it is not given more power. The demonstrations were expected Thursday. Now there will be a funeral instead.

Let's see, Syria wants a timetable and us out of Iraq. They support Hezbollah. Heck the Israelis did a fly over the casa where the Hezbollahan leader was hiding out. Do the math.
Once again Syria is attempting to control Lebanon since its forces were ousted because of its involovment in the asassination of the heroic Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri. Syria is a second rate USSR who is pretty much Israel's bitch. They are still irrate over the expulsion of the forces by the people. I hope to see the liberal media and bloggers assaulting Syria for its attempt at controlliing the free people of Lebanon. Yeah right. Not when the MP George Galloway is ineptly corrupt and in league with those bastards. And our press fawned over him like a schoolgirl crush after he insulted our Congress.

This just shows how stupid politically Syria and Hezbollah are.
After Israel's incursion into Lebanon (started by Hezbollah's kidnappings), there was a closing of the ranks Lebanon's Muslims and Christians.
Thanks to this stupidity...that is all but over.

Julian Wright made it into ESPN's top 10 players.
We'll see how good they are against Florida this weekend.
Were buying a HDTV Friday...even though my wife says I can't watch the game on it because of my temper.
Most people leave the room if I'm watching a Kansas game.
But I haven't yet broken a television.

It must be in the water over there. I have two cousins who went to KU and they are slightly enthusiastic about b-ball there

Kissinger Doing the Weather

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
