more thoughts

A real shame about Tony Snow. He brought class and tenacity to the White House Press Room left in a void from the schmuck McClellan.

A little late to chirp in on the Jesse Jackson "slip." But it left wondered some what opposite of this NY Post opine:

Jackson's claim to have been caught unbeknownst by a "hot mike" slurring and threatening Barack Obama is complete hogwash.
Somewhere, deep down, he wanted the world - and Obama - to know how much he wants to "cut his nuts out."
Veterinarians and doctors talk about cutting nuts "off." Only a thug or a gangster cuts a man's nuts "out."
And Jackson knows better than most the vicious symbolism of castration and its blood-soaked link to lynchings in the Old South.

Of course Obama accepted his apology. It makes me wonder if Jesse said this to help Obama. Sort of a falling on the sword to help the cause.

And mad props to Dana Torres to making it to the Olympics at age 41. Two years my senior.

I'm not sure if Jackson's "gaffe" were meant to help or hurt Obama, but I suspect it will be long forgotten by next week, and definitely by November.

As long as Jesse is falling on the sword rather than wielding it (on nuts of course), I'm okay.

Jackson was just confirming the fact that he is scum.

if Jackson is a man of God, then I'm the pope. His words and actions will be judged in time and the bloody shirt of MLK will not save him.

The passing of Tony Snow -- a sad day. I've always liked him.

Kissinger Doing the Weather

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
