Yes, she was very much against us in Iraq and she was shamelessly propped up by local Democrats to maintain power.
But:
“when she found a welfare cheat, she didn’t just take off the rolls. She sued them to get money back for the taxpayer.”
Carson once gave excellent political advice to a student of mine to get a seat on the student council. The student was told to remember the little person and every vote is a vote. If the Indy GOP wanted to throw a celebratory post-election party, it was at the Westin. Her party was in her garage. Lesson learned.

We should not judge a politician soley by the letter after his or her name. We can learn valuable lessons sometimes from those we are supposed to oppose.
She was a strong advocate for senior citizens. And they showed their appreciation by keeping her in office. Seniors show up at the polls.

it's not a tough guy thing, just a quirk in the wiring
i used to work welfare fraud - we worked all our own cases WITHOUT the aid of a single politician - i did all the civil suits and the investigators did the criminal cases.
i've never heard of this type of action by a politician.
rip anyway.
Well, Kudos to the good work she did, and RIP.
