The Great Revival

The Treehuggers had a musicfest yesterday to thump their chest and proclaim their religion. I got chills as Al Gore led the unsuspecting throngs in a Goebbel-inspired rally with his 7 Point Pledge to environmental nirvana. So get ready for the masses to download the songs on their ipods and tell you drive a hybrid. You are a sinner and can only find redemption in a carbon offset or recycling. Repent sinners!

He lost me on the first point:

Demand that my country join an international treaty within the next two years that cuts global warming pollution by 90 percent in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth.

International treaties have been notorious failures, anyway.

It seems Gore's pride was shattered by GW's nixing of Kyoto. Kinda like a Moby Dick type thing, except our future and free will is at stake.

Not to mention that Kyoto was around and REJECTED by the Clinton administration, of which the Goracle was the #2 man!

I swear, the hypocrisy is unbelievable!

MTC has a point, too... I'll bet there wasn't a single scrap of garbage on the ground. It ALL went into a recycling bin...

Kissinger Doing the Weather

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
