Josh Beekman (OL) 4th Round

Josh Beekman OG 6'2 313 Boston College 5.39

Beekman was a key reserve as a redshirt freshman, and moved into the starting right guard spot as a sophomore. He continued to progress, landing on the All ACC 2nd team as a junior. Beekman took his game to another level as a senior, earning various All America honors.

Beekman shows very good agility, and has the ability to get out and block on the move. He has the power at the point of attack to stop the defenders forward motion, and drive him backwards. He is a very intelligent lineman and may possess the ability to play guard and center in the NFL.

Height is the main concern with Beekman. He’s only a shade over 6'1, which is undersized for any line position at the next level. His height may cause a move to center, and is still a concern at that spot.

If not for the height concerns, Beekman could be looking at being a first round pick. He is short, and that is going to hurt him in the draft. While it causes concerns about what position he may play, he has the talent to play any interior position, so he could slide over to center and have a productive career.

I'm getting old, I used to follow both the NBA and NFL draft but now I limit myself to seeing if any Jayhawks were drafted.
Doesn't look like any were.
Probably to first rounders in the upcoming NBA draft.

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
