Okay kids, we're having another "end of the world moment," I agree with the Irrelevant Al Sharpton on something:
"I accept his apology, just as I want his bosses to accept his resignation," said the Rev. Al Sharpton. He promised to picket Imus' New York radio home, WFAN-AM, unless the veteran of nearly 40 years of anything-goes broadcasting is gone within a week.
Please don't get me wrong, Sharpton is a grand stander, a hypocrite and is a danger to the further advancement of blacks in America, but he got me on this one. The comments made by Imus were not remotely funny nor cool. It reminds me of the comments made by bitter has-beens or wannabes at the bar screaming for attention like a two year old .
"That's some rough girls from Rutgers," Imus said. "Man, they got tattoos ..."
"Some hardcore hos," said McGuirk.
"That's some nappy headed hos there, I'm going to tell you that," Imus said.
From AOL
It didn't stop there, though. Of the Tennessee players, he said, "they all look cute," before someone else off-camera says the game was a matchup of "jiggaboos vs. wannabes." Jiggaboos ... perfect. I see no reason why that should ever offend anyone.
Imus defended himself by saying that people need to relax and shouldn't worry about "some idiot comment meant to be amusing."
I may not be the most politically correct person on the planet, pro-global warming, anti-PETA, etc. but respect is respect and the lack of is evident. If the idiot doesn't know the difference between a joke and a slur, then he should keep those remarks to himself and off the airwaves.
He is meant to be a "shock jock." But there is a line and he crossed it. Comments like his discredit any further remarks or comments of relevance for it shows a lack of awareness of consequence or logic.

hi Obob..happy holiday bro!..and yes they wouldnt know self respect or respect for others if it slapped them upside their mostly empty heads! heh
i went to t.v. church today and celebrated the resurrection on the third full day after passover.
this article reminds me of a stevie wonder song, sing it stevie:
"Lookin back on when I, was a
little nappy headed boy,
Then my only worry, was for Christmas what would be my toy,
Even though we sometimes, would not get a thing,
We were happy with the, joy that they would bring,
Sneakin out the back door to hang
out with those hoodlum friends of
mine
Greeted at the back door with "I
thought I told you not to go
outside",
Tryin the best to bring that water
to your eye
Thinkin it might stop her from whuppin your behind
I wish those days, could , come back once more
Why did those days ever have to go
I wish those days, could, come
back once more
Why did those days ever have to
go, cause I loved 'em so...
Brother says hes tellin, bout you
playin doctor with that girl
Just don't tell Ill give you, anything you want in this whole wide
world,
Mama gives you money, for Sunday
school
You trade yours for candy, after
church is through
Smokin cigarettes and writin somethin nasty on the wall
Teacher sends you to the principle
office down the hall
You grow up and learn that kind of
thing aint right
But while you were doin it, it
sure felt outta sight
I wish those days, could, come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days, could, come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to
go, cause I loved em so......."
"i wish" written back in the dark ages...they need to get over it.
HE IS NOT HERE, FOR HE HAS RISEN!
YAY! hope for us all.
Imus is about 130 years old anyway... I predict an abrupt 'retirement' in his future.
Moron.
Imus and Sharpton are both garbage and the Irrelevant Jesse is the driver of teh truck. What drives me nuts is it gives Shaprton a plaform to work from. But there is a time and a place, and there never was from Imus' conduct.
Best line from Easter Mass came from the priest:
I know some of you will leave after Communion, but you are supposed to leave when the priest leaves. Show Jesus some respect.
he got suspended, a slap on the wrist. How about he fills his favorite pair of boots full of manure and wear them a day? Ruining the boots will have more of an impact then his apology on the likes of him
Al Sharpton, some time ago, said, "It's time the Christian Right met the Right Christian," in response to being asked about the contradiction between his supposed Christianity and belief in abortion. That in and of itself was enough for me.
As far as Imus is concerned, we've seen this before: Some idiot *cough*MichaelRichards*cough* knowingly makes a tremendously offensive remark, and once the controversy begins, grovels to the African American community. I believe in second chances, but I also believe in consequences. Americans need to know that with freedom of speech comes responsibility, and Imus excused himself of that last week.
This must be the new "White Man's Pilgrimage".
Whenever accused of racism, go grovel to either Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, two of America's most known racist.
If that doesn't work, you can always check yourself into a rehab.
some of those rehab/spas look very inviting and I could use the rest. If I made those remarks in my classroom, I'm fired.
