Behold, Queen Hillary

Hillary Clinton is smart, knows to how to govern and understands the concept of integrity in our government. Okay, she is smart. To a degree, but her recent remarks at the Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire leave me wondering how obtuse she may be and ignorant she thinks we are.
Some highlights of the article from the Washington Post:

she outlined a broad agenda she said was designed to restore public confidence and turn government into a partner of working families.

this one almost knocked me off my chair. Let's see, as good as they claimed the Clinton economy is, GW's is stronger. We are actually fighting terrorism and GW is trying to keep taxes down.

"Despite their rhetoric, for the past six years, we've had an administration that doesn't believe in less government or smaller government or better government,"

Darnit, she is on the Bush Theocracy/Autocracy

"They simply have contempt for government. Though they lead it, they look down on it, they disparage it, they belittle it at every turn."

As opposed to a party that flaunts the Constitution by laughing at the Checks and Balances with the arrogance of the SOTH. The legendary FDR tried to stack the Supreme Court with extra justices.

"Because this administration doesn't respect our government, they run it poorly and it fails our people," she said in her prepared remarks. "Then they point to government's failures to prove it's not worthy of respect."

As usual, the concept of respect rears it head and runs at the sound of Hillary's voice and rhetoric. Her opening line is a feeble attempt to sound contrite and caring.

The core of Clinton's speech was a list of 10 proposals that she said would lead to smart, effective government.

One of the largest involved the federal budget. She said she would return Washington to a pay-as-you-go principle, noting that she would not support additional spending or bigger tax cuts "unless we can afford it." She also called for greater transparency in how public money is spent and increased efforts to reduce corporate subsidies.

"unless we can afford it." in other words, be prepared to be taxed out of every possible orifice.

She said she would bar any members of her Cabinet from lobbying her administration once they had left office. She called for additional protections for government whistleblowers. And she advocated reducing the amount of federal government work done by outside contractors, urging the elimination of 500,000 such contractors.

Which goes with concept of loyalty and dying for ones administration , ask Ron Brown and Vince Foster. As for the whistleblowers ...

Clinton accused the Bush administration of substituting ideology for facts and evidence on issues ranging from Plan B contraception to global warming and said she would depend to a much larger degree on scientific evidence.

and global warming isn't the new religion

Her final proposal was a restatement of a long-held position in support of election reform to make it easier for Americans to register and vote and to provide additional safeguards to protect the integrity of the ballot box.

or, let's get those illegals a ballot to secure that voting block for generations.
I may come back and add some more ...

Excellent post! Like Brooke, I loved that one turn of phrase. But, Bob, your entire posting is outstanding--you've deciphered HillarySpeak!

As to how ignorant she thinks we are, one helluva lot. She's arrogant and the epitome of the believer in her own exceptionalism.

I think Hillary would be an excellent president to solve global warming...she is one cold bitch.

What's even more funny than a carpet bagger going to the northeast to be elected was New Yorkers going out and voting for her.
She lived less than 2 mi. from me before we moved to Somers.

Kissinger Doing the Weather

Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.
