SNL is as dead as Belushi. Remorsefully, I am pretty much done with it and admit defeat is believing the liberal writers would get a sense of humour. Alas, they open with a weak skit with ulta-lightweight cast member every week and bash GW, very poorly at that. Makes me want to get out of education knowing there has to be a job in NYC if writers are this feeble-minded.
I digress, although I am still bitter about the Colts winning, I was happy to Peyton resurrect SNL with one last faint heartbeat of hope. The opening monologue is especially funny when I recall my mom knocking me out cold trying to tackle her playing smear the queer, get over your PCself if I offend.
The United Way spoof is cliche and predictable, but Peyton sells it perfectly.
Several years ago I had he pleasure of meeting the guy at my in-laws bar. A week before he had barraged by fans wanting autographs and he kept his cool. It may have meant nothing to him, but I had to thank his for putting up with my wonderful patrons. He's a good kid who, may Allah permit, make to Canton one day. If Eli doesn't first.
