Kissinger Doing the Weather
Back in the early 90s, I awoke with a wicked hang over one morning. As I sat on the floor watching the morning news, I swore I saw Harold Kissinger doing the weather. No one believed me. Professors discounted me. I have been vindicated.

What's funny Obob is that many countries publically criticize the US' policy on rendition and criticize their foreign policy in general, but in the background, work closely with them and other intelligence agencies to catch terrorists. For example, despite Syria's outspoken criticism of America, there is quite a lot of communication going back and forth in "back channels"
Another example:
In Dec 2001 US intelligence agencies discovered that two terrorist suspects, Ahmed Agiza and Muhammed Zery, were living in Sweden, a "peaceful European country" that has friendly relations with the US and well established laws on human rights. However, these two men were seized by Swedish Police in Stockholm, then hooded and handcuffed, before being handed over to CIA agents. The clothes of the prisoners were cut off, they were dressed in prison-type uniforms and then given sedatives by suppository before being loaded onto the standard Gulfstream V and flown to Egypt where they were thoroughly interrogated, including receiving electric shocks to the genitals.
This arrangement suited Sweden, who got rid of potential terrorists, while at the same time expressing public distaste at the methods used, and also kept the country in the US' good books. This process also suited American officials, who got their hands on suspected terrorists and then provided the arrangements that enabled them to be thoroughly interrogated in Egypt, without the usual constraints applicable in the West.

Vishnu is fascinatingly weird. Whe I was a child, I tried to imagine all the options for those many arms.
