Having Fun

It's that time of the year again kids, primaries!!! Most of these local elections are obscure city council or other local positions, but they do matter. Tip O'Neal, who is the Sun god to Chris Matthews of MSNBC Hardball and the four people in America who watch it, said "All politics is local." That really is wrong direction of this post, but it gives me a chance to pick on the blowhard, thus I do it.
I was able to have a great talk to with a candidate for Noblesville's City Council running as a Republican, Mark Boyce. He was bright, had good answers, small business owner and once raced cars (legally) in his younger days.

From this enlightening conversation, I have created the official Obob Candidate Quiz. This applies to any position, even the Dog Catcher.
1. In terms of illegal immigrants, do believe in prosecuting the illegal or the employer who williingly hires them?
2. Do you believe smoking should be banned from bars or age restrictions placed on estblishments who allow smoking?
3. Zoning, this applies to rural areas that are exploding with development. Should the city favor:
>commercial - that Mexican resturant/Korean nail salon/Chinese buffet/CVS/Tanning salon you need around the corner
>corporate/busniess parks - adds to you much needed tax base to keep your property taxes down, at least in Indiana
>residential/giant flippin' hoods - yes I live in one, but you need bodies to vote and I have a pulse
>agricultural - with a possible lean towards corn as a cash crop in aleternative fuels.
4. Gay marriage, are you for an amendment to ban it?

With all modesty aside, these should be only questions you need to ask you candidate, even the President. I will now take my meds for my delusions of granduer.
